Hi Treeforce Citizen Scientists,

We had a great time at the last activity learning how to use the BioCondition Assessment Tool (BioCAT) with the wonderful Ruginia Duffy from Terrain NRM in the shaded coolness of our 2015 deep stem planting at Radjirr-radjirr. We have another one coming up this Sunday and have a couple of ecologists joining us. This is turning out to be a great learning experience for all. Stuart Worboys, our project Scientific Advisor from the Australian Tropical Herbarium at the JCU, will be there again this time to identify native and weed species and keep us on the right track. If you would like to take this opportunity to learn from native plant experts and ecologists, please RSVP by email to info@treeforce.org.au for more details as numbers are limited.

We also have a Guest Speaker at 8.30am…did you know that our sites are in an Electric Ant Compliance Zone? Our Guest Speaker will be Madison Rose from Biosecurity, and we will be baiting for Ants and collecting a few samples for ID’ing.

Radjirr-radjirr is behind St. Andrews College. Park in the nor thern school car park of the college right near the oval and gather there for WHS before going in together. 1.5m distancing applies at all times.
